Petitjean entered the ring with a wealth of experience and wins to his name, however, at The Halls Azim dominated the seasoned champion and won the highly anticipated title.

Azim, who weighed in at 139.3 pounds, dropped Petitjean in the fifth round with a body shot and finished him off in the tenth with a barrage of punches breaking the former champion down. Azim, the British-born boxer is continuing his unbeaten record, in just his 10th fight as a professional. Azim won the EBU in Fly’s KYO 8oz gloves in a Black and Orange colour-way, continuing his unbeaten record with huge hopes for the future of his career.

So what’s next for Azim?

Enock Poulsen held the EBU prior to Petitjean, after beating him for the belt back in 2022. However, he then had to vacate the belt after becoming ill, which allowed Petitjean back into the title. Poulsen is now the mandatory challenger for the title that he never lost in the ring, and is said to be coming to the UK to fight Azim for his old belt. Poulsen says that beating Azim on his ‘home ground’ would mean everything, and wants to return to Britain to fight him.
